Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Westdale School is a Grade 7 – 9 school with a student population of approximately 225. Westdale is known for its outstanding academic, athletic and creative arts programs; it is also a WE school, and is associated with Free the Children.
At Westdale, the instrumental music program is comprised of three grade-level concert bands, a symphonic band, and a jazz band. The Grade 9 Concert Band is a group of extremely hard-working, dedicated, and passionate young musicians; every single student in the group also plays in the Westdale Symphonic Band, and many of them play in the Westdale Jazz Band as well.
The Westdale School Grade 9 Concert Band is thrilled to be attending the 2014 Rocky Mountain Music Festival, and is deeply-honored to have been given the opportunity to perform a showcase concert.
