Maple Sugar is the senior vocal jazz ensemble from Maples Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The school has an active choral program with over 270 students in three concert choirs, a chamber choir, and two vocal jazz ensembles. Since its establishment in 1997, Maple Sugar has earned a recommendation to MusicFest Canada every year. They perform at ChoralFest Manitoba and at many school and community events in Winnipeg.
The group is recognized for its strong repertoire, keen musicianship, and performance energy. Maple Sugar enjoys hanging out together as much as they do singing music. Rehearsals are characterized by hard work, laughter, care, stories, and sharing.
