The R.E. Mountain Senior Chamber Choir from charming Langley, B.C. is made up of singers in grades 9 through 12. They are strong, quirky, self-disciplined types who can brave early mornings and after school donut-bribed rehearsals.
They sing in, and help student-lead, the Sr. Concert Choir, and some also sing in jazz groups, play in the school’s bands and jazz bands, do athletics, IB, clubs, and volunteering. They attribute their success to their smart phones.
Anticipating this week has been the driving force of this year, with wonderful times of learning and connecting along the way, with the Canadian Chamber Choir, the choirs in Voices West, and with wonderful directors in the choral community.
Rocky Mountain Music Festival is cherished by our school, and we’re so appreciative of this invitation.
