The Point Grey Chamber Choir is an auditioned group of singers in grades 9-12. All of these students perform in at least one other concert class (concert choir, band, or strings), and many of them perform in up to four or five ensembles at Point Grey.
In past years the school has toured to Cuba and England, as well as touring and performing locally. The group has frequently received gold at festivals in Canada and the US. This year the group participated in the UBC Invitational Choral festival, Voices West, the Cap Choral Intensive, a clinic with Rajaton, and most recently the Vancouver Kiwanis Choral Festival.
Point Grey is excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Banff Rocky Mountain Festival this year and the chamber choir is thrilled to be part of a collaborative showcase concert with Seycove Secondary whom they had the opportunity to share their winter retreat with this year.
Collaborating with other groups and clinicians is something we love – and having the chance to connect and sing with so many amazing people and groups this year has been a definite highlight!
