The Langley Fine Arts School is a grade 1-12 public school in Fort Langley, BC. One of eight choirs in the music program, the LFAS Chamber Choir has earned numerous awards including the FCMF national festival Paul Bourret award. Langley Fine Arts Secondary choirs have performed and recorded major works such as the Vivaldi Gloria, the Mozart Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass, and have recently performed with the UBC choirs and Vancouver Symphony in the production of Afghanistan: Requiem for a Generation. This April, the LFAS Chamber Choir will be joining the VSO in Sir William Walton’s Henry V.

The LFAS Chamber Choir has pursued innovative music projects such as joining rock group Marianna’s Trench on their Face the Music Tour (Vancouver performance), and working and performing with Arts Matter Lectures Series guests Alex Cuba, Sir Ken Robinson, Bramwell Tovey, and David Bowie’s music director for two decades, Mike Garson.

The LFAS Senior Choir and Chamber Choir are thrilled to perform at the Canadian Rocky Mountain Music Festival in 2017.
