Campbell Chamber Choir
Director:
Deidre Baird

The Campbell Chamber Choir is comprised of students in Grades 10 – 12 committed to serving our community through music. The choir has been provincially, nationally and internationally recognized not only for standards of excellence but also for the passion and dedication its members bring to the art of choral music – singing with intention and heart.

The choir has been provincially and nationally recognized for performance excellence. In 2017, The Chamber Choir represented Saskatchewan via recording at the 2017 National Music Festival in Ottawa where they received First Place in their National High School Choir Category. This is the first time in the history of the National Music Festival that a public high school from Western Canada has received this honor. Most recently, the Chamber Choir was awarded the top choral awards at the Anaheim International Heritage Festival held in Anaheim California in April 2018. These awards included the Adjudicator’s Award for the highest mark at the Festival, the Most Outstanding Choir Award, and the Festival Sweepstakes Award (shared with all of the Campbell Instrumental and Choral Performing Groups) for the highest combined band and choral marks at the festival.

The choir has had the privilege of sharing their music at local care homes, the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit, the Regina General Pediatric Ward, the Lieutenant Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, the Premier’s Dinner, and on special occasions at the Saskatchewan Legislature including the Opening of the Legislature and the annual Peace Officers Memorial Service.

The Campbell Music Department Mission Statement:
Consideration: We will care for, respect and support each other.
Commitment: We are determined to meet and exceed expectations in all musical and personal challenges.
Charity: We will serve others in our school and our community.
