North East Jazz Band is the senior jazz ensemble at Agincourt Collegiate Institute, the oldest high school in the former city of Scarborough, now a part of the Toronto district school board. Comprised of students in Grades 11 and 12, it is one of four jazz ensembles at the school.
The band performs at community functions throughout the year, as well as at school functions. They have toured to Disney World, Chicago, New York, Ottawa and Montreal and have performed at historic Massey Hall as part of the Toronto District School Board’s Sounds of Toronto Showcase concert.
North East Jazz has performed at the TD Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival, plus the TD-sponsored Prince Edward County Jazz Festival’s educational program with guest artists Robi Botos, Al Kay, Brian Barlow, and Jason Logue.
