Director: Carrie Taylor
Burnaby Central serves the Central Valley region of Burnaby and currently enrolls over 1,300 students. The Choral Department at Burnaby Central is part of a larger Music Department that also includes successful band and jazz band programs.
A key component of the Choral Department is the Concert Choir; every choral student at Burnaby Central is a member. Drawn from this group are two auditioned Chamber Choirs, a Women’s Choir, and a Men’s Choir. Chamber Choir A consists of students from grades 10 through 12. They rehearse one lunch hour and one after school each week.
They are a committed group of singers who enjoy working on challenging repertoire and advanced musical concepts.
